
PROFILE
Paul is an Assistant Art Director for film & Television. He has worked for several feature films and television programs in the Toronto Film Industry. Working in the Art Department since 2001 he has gained professional experience in Concept Illustrating, Graphic Art, Draughting, 3D Model making, Model making for miniatures, and assembling Directors Plans for Technical Survey for Production.
Paul has also worked for other departments in the Entertainment Industry such as Costumes. Collaborating with Costume Designers he has helped conceptualize and illustrate ideas for production.
Paul enjoys learning the different facets of film making and has made it a priority to stay current on the latest technology in entertainment.
In 2016 Paul earned a certificate in Motion Picture Camera Assistant Workshop with IATSE 667 with Instructor Carolyn Cox at Sheridan College. At this intensive 4 week training, he learnt the fundamentals of Camera Assisting, Focus Pulling, and Camera Operation.
In 2017/2018, Paul expanded his knowledge of Set Design and Art Direction at Film Design International (FDi), located at Pinewood Studios in London, United Kingdom. Paul was tutored by retired film Designer Terry Aukland-Snow.
Paul enjoys travelling and studying History, Theology, Anthropology, and Psychology. He loves hearing peoples stories and learning about their culture.
